<p>Hazel M. Roach, age 79, of Lodi, MO, went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2012.  Hazel was born October 24, 1932, to the late Elwood White and the late Ethel (Allen) White, at Shook, MO.   Hazel attended grade school at Davis School, Shook, MO for a few years.  Then the family moved to St. Louis and then on to Lodi.  Hazel attended Patterson High School from mid-term in 1945, until 1948.  She then attended Greenville School for the 1948-1949 school years, graduating in 1949.  Hazel was united in marriage to Thomas “Jack” L. Roach on December 24, 1949, of that union three children were born.  She was baptized on March 8, 1964 at Grace Free Will Baptist Church by Brother Johnny Land.  In 1991 she transferred her membership to Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church, Silva, MO, where she served as Secretary and Treasurer for a few years.  Hazel and Thomas made their home in Arnold, MO, until his retirement in 1980, when they moved to Lodi, MO.  Hazel enjoyed caring for her family and home.  She loved sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking.  She spent several years in Child Evangelism.  She spent her life serving the Lord and loving her family.</p>
<p>Hazel was preceded in death by her parents.</p>
<p>Surviving Hazel are her husband, Thomas “Jack” Roach of Lodi, MO; two sons, Stanley (Jamie) Roach of Imperial, MO and Keith (Charlotte) Roach of Fredericktown, MO;  one daughter, Deborah (Dan) Hargraves of Jackson, MO; one brother, Chester (Clara) White of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Helen Lacey of Piedmont, MO; six grandchildren, Heather (Frank) Prusinowski, Hollie (Tyler) Cunningham, Thomas (Heather) Roach, Mitchell Roach, Michelle (Chris) Pavlovic, Reggie (Antonia) Lafaye; two step -grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Hargraves and Danah (Rob) Brandel; nine great- grandchildren, Kristopher, Chloe, Emma, Ethan, Benjamin, Seth, Rowan, Rachel, Kimberly.</p>
<p>A visitation was held at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville,  MO, on Friday, February 17, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. for family and 5-9:00 for public viewing.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 3:00 p.m.  Dennis Allen and Jason Hargraves did officiate the ceremonies.  Music was provided by Paula Jennewien, Pam Green, and Pat Lane.  Pallbearers were Frank Prusinowski, Tyler Cunningham, Mitchell Raoch, Tommy Wilson Reggie LaFaye and Thomas Roach.   Interment did  follow at Lewis Cemetery, Lodi, MO.  On line condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Helen R. Bennett, age 89, of Greenville, MO, passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO, on February 13, 2012.  She was born January 24, 1923, to the late John Taylor and the late Mary (Unger) Taylor, in Adams, TN.</p>
<p>As a child the family lived in Tennessee and Illinois.  She was like most kids born in her era, the highest level of education was the eighth grade.  Yet she managed to (after she raised her children) to continue her education and was a food service nutritionist.  She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Anaheim, California.  She was married to Charles Warmack.  Helen was an exceptional person.  She was good with people and was a great sales person.  She worked at Granite City Steel, and owned several restaurants and was good at all of them.  Helen liked to oil paint and to clog dance.  She played the spoons in a band, but most of she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.  She loved to play games and her favorite game was Farkle.  She was a member of the Open Word Apostolic Church in Patterson.</p>
<p>Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Warmack; one son, Charles &#8220;Jerry&#8221; Warmack;  two brothers, William Taylor and Harold Taylor; three sisters, Lillian Warmack, Lovie Pitt, and Georgia Kuzuch.</p>
<p>Surviving Helen are her two daughters, Joyce Wright, Judy (Pete) Peterson, both of Greenville, MO, along with eight grandchildren, nineteen great- grandchildren, and eleven great- great- grandchildren.</p>
<p>A memorial service was held at Ruegg Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville, MO, on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.  Family arrived  at 10:00 a.m.  The public was invited to join them at 10:30 a.m.   Music was provided by James Lowe.  Pastor Jerry Montgomery officiated the ceremonies.  Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com</p>

<p>Donnie Ray Lewis, age 55, of Piedmont, MO, passed away February 12, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Buff, MO.  He was born October 16, 1956 to the late Cobrin L. Lewis and Carrie E. (Markham) Lewis, in St. Louis, MO.</p>
<p>Donnie grew up in St. Louis on 7th Street Sidney until the age of sixteen.  The family then moved to 13th Street.  Donnie was the fifth of eight children.</p>
<p>Donnie loved to cook.  He loved to barbeque, he was very talented with drawing.  One of his favorite things to do was go fishing with his mother.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and riding the back roads with his brother Ronnie.  He loved float trips and fishing with his family.  He loved his home and spent many hours feeding his humming birds.  There are over one hundred that nest near his home.</p>
<p>Donnie worked at Missouri Rollin Mills for years with his brother Ronnie; he was an overhead crane operator.  He then moved to Gerald, MO with his sister Connie, there he worked as a janitor for many years.</p>
<p>Donnie was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Connie Lynn (Lewis) Woolsey.</p>
<p>Survivors include, his mother, Carrie E. Lewis, of Piedmont, MO; three sisters, Pat (Donnie) Cradic of Piedmont, MO, Barbara Lewis of St. Louis, MO, and Lisa (Terry) Sellers of Patterson, MO; three brothers, Gerry Lewis  and Ronnie Lewis, both of St. Louis, MO, and Dennis Lewis of Piedmont, MO.  Also surviving Donnie are many nieces and nephews, Mike Cradic, Ronald Lewis, Matt (Lisa) Lewis, Chris Lewis, Scott(Donna) Cradic, Stacey Cradic, Jennifer (Chad) Vanter, Heather Lewis, Gary Lewis, Coby Lewis, Tracey Woolsey, Tina(Robert) Pratt, Tasha (Derrick) Allen, Tiffany Sellers, Tarren Sellers, and Robbie Sellers, along with many great-neices and great-nephews.</p>
<p>A Visitation was held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, from 5- 9:00 p.m. at Ruegg Funeral Home Chapel in Piedmont, MO.  Funeral services were held on Friday, February, 17, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.    Pastor Charlie Sutton did conduct the services.  Pallbearers were Mick Cradic, Scott Cradic, Ronnie Lewis, Cobrin Lewis, Matt Lewis and Tyler Lewis.  Burial was at Huff Cemetery in Iron county.</p>

Bearden and the late Hazel L. (Williams) Bearden, in Piedmont, MO.  Betty attended Oak Hill in St. Louis first through the fourth grade.  She attended Piedmont Elementary and Piedmont High School to the ninth grade.  She later received her GED.  Betty was saved at a young age.  She was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist church in Piedmont, MO.   Betty was united in marriage to Billy Wayne Clubb on December 24, 1955.</p>
<p>Betty was always working, she wasn&#8217;t afraid to take on any job.  She spent the first part of her life doing factory work.  She later started her career by managing the Stone Crest Motel for several years.  She was the concessionaire at Sam A. Baker State Park from 1988 &#8211; 1995.  She then opened &#8220;Grandma&#8217;s Restaurant&#8221; until she became the Food Service Director at Clearwater Schools.  She retired several years ago but she still continued to work for Driveline Merchandising.  She enjoyed being among the public.  Betty was a member of the Piedmont Chapter 347 Order of the Eastern Star.  Her favorite book was the Bible, her favorite verse in the Bible was John 3:16 &#8211; 3:17.</p>
<p>Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She loved to travel and never passed up a chance to join her family and friends on vacation.  Betty had traveled most of the United States and Germany.</p>
<p>Her last trip was to Destin, FL with her daughters.  She enjoyed her time relaxing on the beach and eating at Bubba Gumps.  She would tell everyone she met how special that trip was.</p>
<p>One of her favorite past- times was sewing .  Her mom taught her to sew at a very young age.  She would make doll clothes for her doll.  All her family enjoyed her beautiful quilts. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her canned vegetables and jellies with friends and family.</p>
<p>Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Bearden; two sisters, Lorine Kohl and Pauline Marschel; along with one great grandson Silas Bentley Crum.</p>
<p>Surviving Betty are her husband Billy Clubb of Piedmont, three daughters, Debbie (Gene) Stout, of Piedmont, MO, Kimberly (Ed) Burns of St. Louis, MO, and Rhonda (Travis) Crum, of Piedmont, MO.  Also surviving Betty are her grandchildren,  Michael (Tasha) Kimes, Denise (James) Girard, Kristina (Jeremy) Baker, Sarah (Mike) Tripp, Joshua (Leah) Crum, Brian (Brandee) Deckard, Samantha Hanger, Rachel (Chris) Aguilar, Tammy (Jacob) Burress, Andrew Stout.  She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Visitation was held  Tuesday, February 14, 2012, beginning at 4:00 p.m. for family, friends and neighbors may joined them at 5:00p.m.  at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. An Eastern Star service was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 12:00 (Noon), also at Ruegg Funeral Home Chapel in Piedmont.  Pastor Tim Bridges officiated the ceremonies.  Music was provided by Cindy Wood, she was accompanied by Jeanette Turnbough.  Betty&#8217;s granddaughters spoke as well.  Pallbearers were Travis Crum, Ed Burns, Rob Bearden, Michael Kimes, Josh Crum, and Gene Stout.  Burial was at Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, MO.  Online condolences may be made at this site.</p>

<p>Sarah Bernice Betty (Austin) Clay was born on February 26, 1921, to the late William O. Austin and the late Alice H. Austin.  She was born in Leeper, MO.  She departed this life on February 11, 2012 at the age of 90, at Table Rock Nursing Center, Kimberling City, MO.</p>
<p>On October 27, 1942 she was united in marriage to the late Deward B. Clay, and to this union one daughter was born.  She professed her faith in Christ in 1933 in the Leeper, MO church.  In December 1955 she joined Tabernacle Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO and in May 1972 she joined the First Baptist Church of Piedmont.  In November 1984 she joined the Church of God International in Poplar Bluff,   MO.</p>
<p>Sarah retired from Barnes Hospital in 1974 where she was a member of the nursing staff in for the cardio-thoracic surgery department.  She was an avid quilter and seamstress.  She collected several volumes of old books and bibles.  She was a member of Home Chapter #313 of the Eastern Star in St. Louis, MO.</p>
<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and seven sisters.</p>
<p>Sarah is survived by her daughter, Nancy Sue Declue; three grandchildren, Lisa M. Scott, Nathan S. Polete, Ethan S. Polete; three step-grandchildren, Rick K. Declue, Tammy M. Favignano, and Larry K. Declue; nine great- grandchildren, Hannah Scott, Connor Scott, Kalia Polete, Erik Polete, Elijah Polete, Daniel Declue, Grant Favignano, Tyler Declue, and Melissa Declue; three sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and friends.</p>
<p>A visitationwas held Wednesday, February 15, 2012, beginning at 5:00 p.m.  at Ruegg Funeral Homes, Piedmont, MO.  Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, beginning at 2:00 p.m.  also at Ruegg Funeral Homes of Piedmont.  Pastor Jack Ruble officiated the services.   Pallbearers were Nathan Polete, Ethan Polete, Jim Otts, Al Wills, Brandon Throop, Ron Street, and Alex Ruegg.  Interment was at Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, MO.  Online condolences may be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com.</p>

<div>Verneil spent most of her life in the Piedmont area and worked for Ark-MO Power Company for over 20 years. <span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Verneil loved her family and friends and </span>enjoyed <span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">an active life which included </span>traveling, bowling and collecti<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">ng</span> Bosson Heads, Barbie Dolls,<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> Elephants</span> and Stamps.   Verneil was a long time volunteer at the Northview Senior Center in Springfield, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri, where she also enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle</span>. <span style="font-size: xx-small;"> </span></div>
<div>Verneil was preceded in death by her parents<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> and</span> two brothers<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Wilmer and Bob Reed.</div>
<div>Surviving Verneil are her three children<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> one daughter<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">,</span> Vicki (David) Johnson of Blackwell, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri,</span> two sons<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Larry (Rhonda) Payton, of Piedmont, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span>, and Alan Payton, who has been her caregiver for the last years of her life, of Springfield, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span>.   Four granddaughters<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Kara (James) Buckeridge, Laura (Joseph Gardner) Johnson<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> and</span> Melissa (Patrick) Strohmayer<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">, all</span> of St. Louis, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span>, and Janna Payton<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> </span>of Cape Girardeau, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri,</span> two grandsons<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Jeff (Mary) Payton and Jason Payton,<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> both</span> of St. Louis, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span>. <span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> </span>Also surviving Vern<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">ei</span>l are four great-grandson<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">s;</span> Edward and Franklin Buckeridge, Abel Gardner and Luke Payton<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">,</span> four great-granddaughters<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Christina Collins<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> and</span> Emma Gardner<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">.</span> <span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">C</span>oming soon<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">,</span> twins Alice and Annie Payton.  She is also survived by one brother<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">;</span> Floyd (Shirley) Reed of Steelville, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span>.</div>

Funeral Service were also held at 2:00 p.m. at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, M<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">issouri</span> on Sunday<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">,</span> Feb<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">ruary</span> 12<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">, </span>2012, with Pastor Jack Ruble officiating the ceremonies.  Music was provided by Verneil&#8217;s granddaughter Kara Buckeridge, she was accompanied by Sandy Phelps.  Shirley Haggett read a poem she had written for Verneil.  Pallbearers were Jeffrey Payton, Jason Payton, Jim Buckeridge, Pat Strohmayer, Dave Johnson, and John Haggett.  Interment was at Rowland-Woods Cemetery, Patterson, Missouri.  Online condolences may be made at this site.<br />

<p>Stanley Wayne Howard, age 73, from Greenville, MO, passed away February 3, 2012 at Benchmark Health Care, Greenville, MO.     Stanley was born June 13, 1938 in Duke, MO, to the late Albert S. Howard and the late Viola M. (Creason) Howard.  He attended numerous schools due to his father&#8217;s work and graduated from Plato High School in 1963.</p>
<p>Stanley worked at the Post Exchange at Fort Leonard Wood.  He later worked in Kansas City, MO as an orderly at Trinity Lutheran Hospital and as a security guard.  Upon moving to Greenville, MO in 1970, he worked as custodian at the Wayne County Courthouse for many years.    Stanley was of the Southern Baptist faith and was saved in 1950 in Carruthersville, MO.  He was baptized in 1990 by Reverend Gary Aubuchon.  He was a member of Greenville Southern Baptist Church.    On June 1, 1990 he was united in marriage to Judith C. Goodman.</p>
<p>Stanley loved dogs, all his Mom&#8217;s dogs and his dog, Penny.  He read through the Bible 20 times. He made a great Meat Loaf and Macaroni and Cheese.  Stanley loved iced tea. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.  His favorite T.V. program was Hogan&#8217;s Heroes.</p>
<p>Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and  one brother, Leonard Howard.</p>
<p>Stanley is survived by his wife Judith Howard of the home, two brothers, Roger Howard, Rodney (Martha) Howard, all of Greenville, MO, along with two sisters, Susan Morris of Greenville, MO, and Judy (Phil) McGill of St. Louis, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.</p>
<p>A visitation was held Monday, February 6th, 2012, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for the family; friends and neighbors  joined them at 11:00 a.m., at Ruegg Funeral Home chapel, Greenville, MO.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m.  Monday, also at Ruegg Funeral Home chapel, Greenville, MO.  Pastor Ken Gray officiated the ceremonies.  Mrs. Helen Gray provided the music.    Interment was at Greenville City Cemetery, Greenville, MO.   Pallbearers were Jr. Wilson, John Haggett, Jim Boshell, Dan Jennewein, Ronnie York, Jr. and Rusty Sly.    On line condolences may be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com.</p>

<div><a href="http://www.rueggfuneralhomes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/20120203141923127_00011.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2826" title="20120203141923127_0001" src="http://www.rueggfuneralhomes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/20120203141923127_00011-233x300.jpg" alt="" width="233" height="300" /></a>Bobby Gene Zook, age 77, of Piedmont, MO,  passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Cape Girardeau, MO.   Bob was born April 24, 1934, to the late John Zook and the late Bertha (Hopper) Zook in East Prairie, MO.  He was raised and finished grade school in East Prairie, MO.   In 1958 Bob began working for Hussman Refrigeration, in St. Louis, MO as a sheet metal worker.  On April 11, 1959, he united in marriage to Shirley Frye, of this union three children were born.  Bob continued working for Hussman Refrigeration until his retirement in 1996.  At which time he and Shirley moved to Piedmont, MO.   Bob found spiritual salvation and asked God&#8217;s forgiveness of his sins in 2010.</div>
<div>Bob had a very active life.  He loved to ride motorcycles.  In his younger years, he rode dirt bikes and street bikes with the Saddle Tramps.  As he grew older, he enjoyed riding three wheelers and four wheelers on trail rides with the kids.</div>
<div>Bob and Shirley enjoyed floating and fishing on Black River, and boating on Clearwater Lake.  If he couldn&#8217;t be on the lake or river, he would take a rod and reel with a plug to the Pike hole and fish for bass.  He would only cast 15 times on every visit to the Pike hole.  He usually always brought fish back for Shirley to clean.  His favorite catch was a 10 pound bass from the Pike hole, that he had mounted and it hangs today in the bedroom.</div>
<div>On the weekends, Bob would smoke a green ham for hours while visiting with friends and family.  If he wasn&#8217;t smoking a ham, he would barbeque. Bob usually ended the day with a campfire listening to his family play music together.</div>
<div>He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Frye) Zook,  of the home, two sons, Terry (Mary) Zook, of French Village, MO and David (Andy) Zook, St. Louis, MO, and Christine Zook, of Piedmont,MO.  Also surviving Bob is one brother Jerry (Sandy) Zook, of Arnold, MO, and one sister, Carmen McMullen of Wentzville, MO,</div>
<div>along with four grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Justin Jones, Terry Michael Zook, and Charity Werner, three great-grandchildren Kailey Jones, Alexis Beucker, and Haley Meadows.</div>
<div>He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry Zook, and Jesse Zook.</div>
<div>A visitation was held Saturday, February 4, 2012 beginning at 4:00p.m. for the family, friends and neighbors joined them at 5:00 p.m. at Ruegg Funeral Homes chapel in Piedmont, MO.   Funeral services were Sunday, February 5, 2012, beginning at 2:00 p.m. also at Ruegg Funeral Homes chapel, Piedmont, MO.  Interment was  at the Masonic Cememtery, Piedmont, MO.   Pastor Mark McMullin officiated the ceremonies.  Christina Zook shared a poem.  Pallbearers were Brad Frye, Justin Jones, Glen McGraf, Terry Michael Zook, Michael Wihelm, Rayne Zook, Jeff Glass, and Bob Bennet.   Online condolences may be made at this site.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Little Angel Gavin Louis Eads, son of Chelsea Eads was born to heaven on January 30, 2012.   He will be missed by his loving family which includes, his mother, Chelsea Lynn Eads, his father, Carlton Louis Minor, grandparents, Michael and Tina Eads,  two aunts, Kashanda Eads and Ashley Shelton, great aunt Shana Besher along with his cousins, Charlotte Straussner, Brayden Shelton, Dalton Besher, Dustin Besher, and Tabetha Besher, with his great- grandparents Linda Brinkley, Jack and Edith Eads and Sandy Cattlett, and great- great- grandparents Robert and Pearl Lowe.  Gavin was preceded in death by great- grandparents Norman and Judy Eads and great- grandfather James Brinkley and Uncle Carl Besher Jr.</p>
<p>A graveside memorial service was held on Thursday, February 2, 2012,  at 2 p.m. at Forest Chapel Cemetery on Clark&#8217;s Creek Road # 339, near Piedmont, MO.  Many friends and family gathered to comfort Chelsea.  A poem selected by her was read by her sister.  Brother John Radford officiated the service.  Balloons were released in little Gavin&#8217;s memory.</p>
