Harold Wayne Durrow

Harold Wayne Durrow, age 67, of Williamsville, MO, passed away January 11, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born October 31, 1944 to Hazel (Medres) Durrow and the late Virgil C. Durrow, at Taskee, MO.
Harold was a life long resident of Wayne County, MO. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Dalton in 1972, and of this union one child was born. Harold spent his life working in the construction and timber industry. He loved fishing and hunting with his brothers. His bothers played country music and he enjoyed listening to them perform. He loved to build homes and was good at it. Harold was a past member of the Eagles and a member of the NRA. He also enjoyed TV and computer games. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather,and great-grandfather. The family states that he became a Christian late in life and preferred the Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Harold was preceded in death by his father Virgil C. Durrow.
Surviving Harold are his mother Hazel Durrow of Williamsville, MO, one daughter Shelia Kern (Shannon Brandon) of Williamsville, MO; five brothers James Durrow , John (Lula) Durrow, Junior (Ellen) Durrow, Paul (Janice) Durrow, of Williamsville, MO and Bobby (Nancy) Durrow of Greenville, MO; two sisters, Barbara Cravens and Elsie (Albert) Dalton both of Williamsville. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Matthew Hillis, Jade Dyer, Kaitlyn Kern, along with two great-grandchildren, Clayton Hillis and Dayton Wayne Hillis. As well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service was held Friday, January 13, 2012 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The service was held at Rucker Cemetery in Williamsville, MO. Pastor Gary Reed officiated the ceremonies. Pallbearers were Andy Durrow, Lee Hillis, Doug Durrow, James McCarty, and Troy Durrow. Arrangements were handled by Ruegg Funeral Homes, Williamsville , MO. Dear Durrow family — I am currently out of town and reading the DAR online — I am so sorry to read about Harold. I will say a special prayer for all of your family tonight.
