Drusilla Crutchfield Obituary

Drusilla “Peggy” Crutchfield, 68, of Greenville, MO, passed away, Thursday, October 31, 2019, at St Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Peggy was born August 17, 1951, in Wardell, MO, to parents James and Ota (Ennest) Crutchfield. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, photography, and tackling a jigsaw puzzle with her family. She loved to cook and experiment with recipes, then trying them out on her girls. She loved Christmas and making Christmas candy. She had a wonderful personality and never met a stranger. Peggy most enjoyed her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Family and family history were very important to Peggy. She had, many times, sat down with her pentel and a restaurant napkin and had her family history written down before her coffee could begin to cool. Peggy will be sadly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: A. C., Harold Wayne, and Elmar Crutchfield; sisters; Varble “Bo” Parsons, and Lora Gumpert. Peggy is survived by her children: Gina Sumner and companion, Craig Myers of Stanton, MO, Melissa Fox and husband Kevin of Greenville, April Jones and fiancé Carl Jones of Greenville; grandchildren: Bradley Dewitt and wife Leah, Tyler Sumner and wife Sandy, Jacob Fox and wife Harley, Abigail Fox, Shelby Hathman; great-grandchild: Kandace DeWitt; brothers: Jesse Crutchfield and wife Polly of Greenville, James Crutchfield and wife Shirley of Poplar Bluff, Melvin Crutchfield of Greenville, Thomas “Tommy” Crutchfield of Ellsinore, MO, Raymond Crutchfield and wife Dee of Advance, MO; sister; Leigh McFall and husband John of Poplar Bluff, MO. Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Greenville chapel. Bro. Kenny Burchard ministered to the family. Amber Tarasyuk read the obituary and gave a heartfelt eulogy. Bradley Dewitt, Tyler Sumner, Jake Fox, Shelby Hathman, Jimmy Ray Andrews, Ricky Parsons, Nathan Parsons, Jamie Crutchfield served as pallbearers. Burial was in Kime Cemetery, Greenville.
