Melanie Joy (Brummet) Casey

Melanie Joy "Mel" (Brummet) Casey, 60, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at her residence. She was born October 1, 1959, to parents Arnold D. and Gloria J. (Reed) Brummet. Mel was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. On April 19,1986, she married Teddy Casey Jr. and they resided in Piedmont, MO. She enjoyed the flowers in her yard and the outdoors. Regardless if she was riding on the river in the boat, or fishing on the banks, she felt at ease close to the river. Mel also enjoyed listening to rock music and attending live concerts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Susan Wolpers. Mel is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years; children: Nathan Moyer and wife Candida of Cedar Hill, MO, Gloria Hodges of Cedar Hill, MO; grandchildren: Austin Moyer, Hunter Moyer, Angie Hodges, Gage Hodges; brother: Dale Brummet and wife Randee of Hunnewell, MO, sisters: Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson of Florissant, MO, Nancy Blackwell of DeSoto, MO; father and mother -in-law: Teddy and Peggy Casey Sr., brother-in-laws: Tony Casey and wife Sandy of Herculaneum, MO, Tim Casey and wife Nina of Herculaneum, MO, Ron Wolpers of Florida, many nieces and nephews.
