Allen Grafton, 74, of Bismarck, MO, passed away Sunday, January 7. 2024, at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, MO, June 11, 1949, to parents Bartholomew and Margaret Esther (Allen) Grafton.
Allen was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was married to Pauline Fletcher for many years. Allen was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed traveling and had been through seventeen states. He enjoyed shopping, especially at Walmart. He also enjoyed his tractors and 4-wheelers. Allen never met a stranger and always had something to say. Allen cherished his children, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson: Curtis Litteken; brothers: Bart, Donald, and James Grafton, Kenny and Bill Kean; sisters: Peggy Palm, and Bobby Armer.
Allen is survived by his significant other Pauline; children: Angel Snover and husband Whitney Sr. of Smithton, IL, Threcca Litteken and husband Chris of Farmington, Allen Grafton Jr. and wife Chrystal of Troy, IL, William McCormick and wife Belinda of Puxico, James McCormick and wife Sheri of Piedmont; grandchildren: Whitney Snover Jr., Brittany and Emaly Snover, Christopher Litteken and wife Dallymar, Thomas, Taima, Mary and Michael Litteken, Brian Thomlinson, Kalynn, Hannah, Zander, Jaxon, and Jordan Grafton; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers: Tommy Grafton and wife Nancy of St. Louis, Terry Grafton of Coweta, OK; sister: Jane Vinson of Puxico. Allen will always be remembered by the love and care he generously showed his family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness, kindness, prayers, and outpouring love and support. Allen will be missed dearly.
Visitation was held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor and best friend, Richard Sanders ministered to the family. James McCormick, William McCormick, Christopher Litteken, Chris Litteken, Thomas Litteken, Dale Grafton, and Brian Thomlinson served as pallbearers. Burial was in New Prospect Cemetery, Silva, MO.
