Allen "A.J." Joe Nelson

Allen Joe “AJ” Nelson, 68 of Silva, MO, passed away Sat, April 25, 2026. “AJ” was born to Jasper and Norma (Tibbs) Nelson on October 14, 1957 in St Louis, Missouri. He spent most of his working life in North Central Arkansas with Aeroquip and Eaton Hose plant as an extruder operator. “AJ” enjoyed martial arts and model plane building as well as tinkering with anything mechanical. The true joy of his life however was his two grandsons, Joe Allen Armstrong and Brody Lee Armstrong who recently added two great grandchildren whom he had not yet gotten to meet. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son David and daughter Jodi; his sister (Doris); two brothers (Jerome, Anthony); many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. 

He is survived by his grandsons Joe Allen and Brody Lee Armstrong. Great grandchildren River Callaway Lee Armstrong and Wrenley Mae Armstrong. Siblings Vera, Johnny (Terrie), Yvonne, Gary (Joyce), Earnie (Shawna). Numerous Nieces, Nephews, cousins, one Uncle and one Aunt.

Visitation was held on Friday May 1, 2026 from noon until 2:00 pm at Ruegg Funeral Home at Greenville, MO. Funeral Services followed at 2:00 pm, also at funeral home chapel. Pastor Carlos Jeffries ministered to the family and special family selections were played. Cremation followed services and interment at a later date at Lewis Cemetery at Lodi, MO.
