Alma McKittrick Obituary

 

Alma Lorene McKittrick, 98, of Clubb, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in Silva, MO. She was born July 8, 1922, in Centerville, MO, to the late Elmer and Sally (McMurry) Dement. On June 26, 1943, Alma married John L. McKittrick, and to this union eight children were born. Alma was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church for many years and served as a Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, and worked in Bible club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, son: John McKittrick, Jr.; brothers: Carl Dement, Ralph Dement, and Gene Dement. Alma is survived by her children: Joseph McKittrick and wife Sandy of Advance, James McKittrick and wife Cindy of Silva, Jerry McKittrick and wife Sondra of St Louis, Mary McKittrick of Dallas, TX, Sally Briggs and husband Don of Columbia, Ellen Ross and husband Dennis of Piedmont, Janie Rennella and husband Bob of Bloomingdale, IL, grandchildren: Jason McKittrick, Erik Benson, Kirsten Bailey, Chris Froman, Jeff McKittrick, Sherry Norwood, Ian McKittrick, Elizabeth McKittrick, Elinor Castillo, Emilia McKittrick, Davis Ross, Timothy Ross, Bobby Renella, Christine Renella; nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim Dement of Arnold, Bob Dement and wife Mary of Potosi, Darrell Dement and wife Gloria of Ellington; sister in law: Shirley Dement. Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 12, 2020, at New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also at New Hope General Baptist Church. Bro. Ken Moon ministered to the family. David Ross, Timothy Ross, Ian McKittrick, Jeff McKittrick, Ryan McKittrick, and Chris Froman served as pallbearers. Burial was in Twidwell Cemetery, Clubb.
