Archie Joe Moss

Archie Joe Moss, 81, DesLoge, MO, formerly of Des Arc, MO, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born in Des Arc, MO, March 22, 1939, to parents Ervin James and Gladys B. (Charlton) Moss.

Archie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He married the love of his life, Anita Joyce Conway, July 27, 1957, and to this union three children were born. Archie was of Pentecostal Faith and a member of the Shepherds House in DesLoge. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Archie loved being outdoors, working in his yard, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter: Sheryl Ann Thorton; granddaughter: Ashley Nicole Moss; brother: Lorhn Moss.

Archie is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years; children: James Christopher Moss and wife Christina of Sunset Hills, Rea Michelle Gumbert and fiancé Scott Cotton of Ft. Wayne, IN, five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Barbara Miller of Ballwin. Archie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation was held at 10:30 am, Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 11:30 am, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Andy Petty ministered to the family. Chris Moss, Scott Cotton, Charles Crawford, Nicholas Gumbert, Roger Walka, and Randy Moss served as pallbearers. Burial was in Mt.
