Barbara Jeannette (Smith) Seeley

Barbara Jeannette Seeley, 62, of Annapolis, MO, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Key West, FL, August 7, 1962, to Robert and Joy (Accre) Smith.

Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Ray Seeley, and together they built a life full of love and memories. Barbara was a dedicated homemaker who poured her heart into nurturing her children. She took great pride in supporting her daughters and loved volunteering at their school, where she was a familiar and caring presence. Additionally, Barbara dedicated her time to causes close to her heart, including volunteering at the art studio, a women’s shelter, and the Eagles Club.

A passionate traveler, Barbara cherished the moments spent with her siblings in West Virginia, a place that held a special place in her heart. She had a creative spirit and loved crafting, particularly making thank-you cards, Christmas cards, actually, any type of cards. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo, a tradition she shared with her best friend, Linda, who was always by her side at every available opportunity.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifteen years; brothers: Frank McQueen and Rick Smith, and sister: Joyce Smith.

Barbara is survived by her daughters: Jana Bennett and husband, Elijah, of Searcy, AR, Patricia Griffin and companion, Joshua Jones, of Annapolis; grandchildren: Jeremiah Morris, Clayton Morris, Gunner Brown, and Rylei Brown; brothers: Robert Smith of Paragould, AR, Vinson Smith of Parkersburg, WV; sister: Susan Miller also of Parkersburg, WV.

Barbara’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, and her love, kindness, and generous spirit will never be forgotten.

A first memorial will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 21, 2025, at Great Harvest Church, Pocahontas, AR. A second memorial will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at The Eagles, Piedmont, MO. Donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to Camp Hope, 3314-3340 Raby Rd, Farmington, MO 63640.
