Betty Sue Morey-Faraone, 66, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital, Fenton, MO. She was born in Poplar Bluff, December 5, 1956, to parents James Edward and Doris Jean (Gilbreth) Morey.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She attended Greenville school district and lived most of her life in Williamsville, MO. She married the love of her life, Samuel James Faraone on September 25, 1976. She enjoyed sitting and on the front porch spending time with her husband. Betty loved music and loved to dance. She owned and operated Paradise Karoke and had a blast as the DJ. The Judds were her favorite singing artist. Betty also had a love and special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She loved raising her Corgi’s. Betty’s greatest legacy was her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. I
n addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-five years; daughter: Rebecca Allsup; sister: Janice Morey; niece: Brianna Bradshaw; nephew: Christopher Faraone.
Betty is survived by her mother; children: Nicholas Faraone and James Gebelhardt of Poplar Bluff, Cody Faraone of Poplar Bluff, Joseph Short of Williamsville; grandchildren: Morgan Faraone of Poplar Bluff, Carmen Faraone Gebelhardt of Poplar Bluff, Jesse Faraone, and Jase Faraone both of Williamsville; brothers: Jimmy Morey and wife Lori of Williamsville, Michael Morey and wife Katie of Poplar Bluff, Sharon Sanders and husband Danny of Williamsville, Cindy Boyer and husband Don of Williamsville, Angel Sisk and husband Jason of Poplar Bluff; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty will be greatly missed.
Visitation was held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. A graveside service followed at 5:00 pm in Holliday Cemetery, Williamsville. Pastor Helen Edwards ministered to the family. Music was provided by Kristy Garrett. Bobby Boyer, Clint Boyer, Joey Morey, Brandon Morey, Mikey Morey and Josh Bratton served as pallbearers.
