Bettye Jerrel (Scott) Tutterrow

Bettye Jerrel (Scott) Tutterrow, 89, of Patterson, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Clark Mountain Nursing Facility in Piedmont. Bettye was born on October 7th, 1936, to parents Other Matthew and Ouida Bardina (Davis) Scott.

She was married to Doyal Tutterrow in 1954 in St. Louis where they made their home and from there to Piedmont and then back to St. Louis later.

She is preceded in death by both parents, her little sister: Lolita Suzette Scott (affectionately known as Baby Sue), her nephew: Kevin Purcell, and her niece: Kerri McKay.

Bettye is survived by her son Brian Tutterrow of Piedmont, and Brenda (Tutterrow) Brimer of Patterson; grandchildren: Sarah Malin and husband Jeff of Valles Mines, MO, Rachel Bennett and husband Tracey of Piedmont, Rebecka Jakoubek and husband Jason of Bonne Terre, MO, David Tutterrow of Poplar Bluff and Robert Tutterrow and wife Mako, of California; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; her sister: Bonnie (Scott) Winslow of Macon, MO; and brother: Jim Scott and wife Sharon of Annabel, MO.

Bettye worked for thirty-five years at Prince Gardner as a billfold designer in St. Louis until she moved to Piedmont in 1994. She operated a flea market at the Ross Sheds and secondhand store at the Luna building in Piedmont until she fully retired later. She loved her pets, both cats and dogs. She went to Faith Christian Church after rededicating her life to Christ until her health kept her from going. She was the 2nd female president of the Piedmont Lions club. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, June 29, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
