Bonnie Brewington, 93, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at DePaul Hospital, Bridgeton, MO. She was born in Lilbourn, MO, April 5, 1928, to parents Jerry Edward and Lillian (Henry) Shy.
Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Richard “Buddy” Brewington August 2, 1947, and they were blessed with two wonderful sons. Bonnie was of the Baptist faith and attended Beulah Baptist Church in Brunot and was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church in St. Johns until she got sick and could not attended any longer. She loved to go to church. Bonnie enjoyed accompanying her husband on his fishing trips. She loved to bargain shop, and she could definitely find the bargains. Bonnies greatest joy was her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-eight years.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: James Brewington of Des Arc, and Kevin Brewington and wife Debby of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren. Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:30 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Beulah Baptist Church, Brunot, MO. Funeral service was held at 1:00 pm, also at the Church. Bro. Tim Bridges ministered to the family. Michael Brewington, Matt Brewington, Richard Brewington, Dylan Brewington, Melissa Cramer, and William Cramer served as pallbearers. Burial followed in Beulah Baptist Cemetery, Brunot.
