Brenda Kay (Shielly) "Bryan" Heidemann

Brenda Kay “Bryan” Heidemann, 82, of Patterson, MO, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born in Steele, MO, February 9, 1940, to parents B.H. and Mary Francis “Copeland” Shielly.

Brenda was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She was married to Edward Heidemann. Brenda enjoyed going to the beauty salon to get her hair fixed, visiting the Tea Room with her friends, and playing cards. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and California. Brenda genuinely enjoyed helping others. She was a Social Worker at the Department of Family Services, in Piedmont for many years. Brenda was of the Methodist faith and attended Trinity Methodist Church in Piedmont.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; one son, Danny Bryan.

Brenda is survived by her children: Dennis Bryan and wife DeAnn of San Diego, Dale Bryan of Patterson; grandchildren: Nick Bryan and wife Lisa, Kristen Quinn and husband Tim, Kevin Bryan and wife Jenn, Colten Bryan and wife Jaclyn, Daniel Bryan, McKenzie Bryan; great-grandchildren: Ryder, Lilly and Haylee Bryan; great-great-grandchildren: Blake, Kaleb, and Melody Bryan, Danielle Brammer; brother: Joe Shielly and wife Carolyn of San Diego. Brenda will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends.

Visitation was held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Bryan Abbott ministered to the family. Kristen Quinn gave a heartfelt eulogy. Cremation followed funeral services. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
