Carl L. Bilbrey

Carl L. Bilbrey, 84, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Piedmont, MO, on November 13, 1936, to parents Zina and Lillie (Marler) Bilbrey.

Carl was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. On March 31, 1955, Carl married the love of his life, Evelyn Whitworth, and to this union, five children were born. He worked for Hussman Refrigeration for many years. He also worked for Southern Cross Lumber, and Binkley Manufacturing. After retiring in 1999, he and Evelyn decided to move to the country. Carl was an easy-going man. His was a Christian and was of the General Baptist faith. His faith was very important to him and he served as a deacon for many years in several General Baptist Church’s, as well as Sunday School superintendent. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and his fish fry’s once a year. Carl loved his family and the family gatherings.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-five years and one son, Bransford Bilbrey.

Carl is survived by his children: Bradley Bilbrey of Troy, MO, Randall Eugene Bilbrey Sr. and wife Cindy of St. Louis, Rickey Cloys Bilbrey and significant other Mike Goodman of Piedmont, Tammy Larrain Condray and husband Howard of Williamsville; thirteen grandchildren: Randall Eugene Bilbrey Jr., Erin Marie Black and husband Scott, Bradley Carlton Bilbrey Jr. and wife Danielle, Jennifer Marie Bilbrey and significant other Adam, Paige Larrain Caraway and significant other Bill, Carla Jean Evans and husband Ralph, James Edward Condray and wife Sheila, Rachel Ann Greer and husband Patrick, Dewey Scott Condray, Shannon Marie Hackman and husband Levi, Michael Timothy Harris and wife Sara, Mathew Harris, Megan Lynn Harris; sixteen great-grandchildren: Willow Marie Bilbrey, Tanner Eugene Bilbrey, Elliana Marie Black, Marissa Jean Evans, Sabrina Grace Evans, LillieAnn Clarece Bilbrey, Theodore James Bilbrey, Katie Maire Johnson and husband Zack, Samantha Renne Greer and husband Alex, Austin Patrick Greer, Levi Garrett Hackman, Sadie Marie Hackman, Logan Nicolas Pollard, Addison Grace LeCrone, Bailey Lane LeCrone, Bentley Harris; two great-great-grandchildren: Eli James Johnson, Harper Ann Johnson. Carl will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation was held at 11:30 am, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Duncan Cemetery, Piedmont. A graveside service followed at 1:00 pm. Bro. Mike Green ministered to the family. Randy Bilbrey Jr., Bradley Bilbrey Jr., Ralph Evans, William Albin, James Condray, Dewey Condray, Scott Black, Adam Duncan, Matt Hams, and Michael Harris served as pallbearers.
