Cecil "Bud" Eugene Ward

Cecil “Bud” Eugene Ward, 70, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Mill Spring, MO, April 1, 1953, to parents Hollis “Doc” and Ruby (Nelson) Ward.  

Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He had attended Clearwater High School before proudly serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Bud had worked for Brown Shoe, Rowe Furniture, Victor Foods and Windser Foods. He met Charlinda Pogue in 1988 while working at Victor Foods in St. Louis. They later married on March 19, 2005. He loved to fish and being on the river in a boat. He enjoyed working outside and working in his garden. Bud was of the Christian faith.  

He is preceded in death by both his parents.  

Bud is survived by his loving wife; two children: James Ward of AK, Bridgette Ward of CA; one grandchild; mother-in-law: Roberta Pogue; brothers: Jim Ward and wife Evelyn of Mill Spring, Ed Ward and companion Susan of Texas Lupe, KY; sisters: Charlotte Huffman and Mary Ward both of Mill Spring. Bud will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
