Charles Howard Wilson, 75, of Farmington, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born in Ironton, MO, January 21, 1948, to parents Harvey and Thena (Parker) Wilson.
Charles was a devoted husband, nurturing father, grandfather, and loving brother. Charles married Peggy Dildine on August 3, 1968, and they were blessed with two sons. He was saved as a child and did not waver in his faith. He had attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Farmington for several years. Charles was an easy-going person. He loved watching his cattle and horses on his farm. He enjoyed watching rodeos as well. Charles was co-owner of Zephyr Café for many years. He graduated from the St. Louis Police Academy and worked on the Olivette Police Department before joining the Piedmont Police Department. He also worked in sales for Parker Banks Automotive, Crown Motors, King Auto Sales, and Sam Scism. Charles’ greatest legacy was his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law: Eugene Reutter; sister-in-law: Toni Wilson.
Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-five years; children: Neil Wilson of Farmington, Shawn Wilson of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren: Karly, Lance, and Eva Wilson; brothers: Phillip Wilson and wife Cheryl of Piedmont, Terry Wilson of Fenton; sister: Sandra Reutter of Chesterfield; one niece, and several nephews. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:30 pm, Monday, at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc, MO. Graveside service was held at 1:00 pm, also at Mt. View Cemetery. Pastor Roger Hogan ministered to the family. Lance Wilson, Parker Wilson, Karly Wilson, Roger Rayfield, Richard Sanders, and Donnie Townsend served as pallbearers. Burial immediately followed.
