Charlotte Crutchfield Obituary

Charlotte D. Crutchfield, 75, of Greenville, MO, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born in Parma, MO, May 16, 1949, to Evelyn (Asher) Brown.

Charlotte was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married the love of her life, Wendell William Crutchfield, on July 28, 1968. Together, they were blessed with one son, who was the center of their world. Charlotte past attended Kime General Baptist Church and loved her community there.

Charlotte had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing. She was also an avid bargain hunter, finding joy in exploring yard sales and flea markets for hidden treasures. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially camping, spending time outdoors, and traveling, especially to the beach.

The greatest legacy Charlotte leaves behind is the love and devotion she shared with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Evelyn.

Charlotte is survived by her favorite companion of fifty-six years, Wendell; son: Brad Crutchfield and wife, Gloria, of Greenville; grandchildren: Chelsea Hite and husband Derrick of Williamsville, Robert McSwain of Poplar Bluff, Noah Crutchfield and wife Emily; great-grandchildren: Ivy McSwain, Levi Crutchfield; brothers: Kenny Brown and wife Mildred of Greenville, Phil Brown and wife Laura of Piedmont; sisters: Gay Garner of Kentucky and Gayle Garner and husband Don of Texas; many  nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
