Charlotte D. Crutchfield, 75, of Greenville, MO, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born in Parma, MO, May 16, 1949, to Evelyn (Asher) Brown.
Charlotte was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married the love of her life, Wendell William Crutchfield, on July 28, 1968. Together, they were blessed with one son, who was the center of their world. Charlotte past attended Kime General Baptist Church and loved her community there.
Charlotte had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing. She was also an avid bargain hunter, finding joy in exploring yard sales and flea markets for hidden treasures. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially camping, spending time outdoors, and traveling, especially to the beach.
The greatest legacy Charlotte leaves behind is the love and devotion she shared with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Evelyn.
Charlotte is survived by her favorite companion of fifty-six years, Wendell; son: Brad Crutchfield and wife, Gloria, of Greenville; grandchildren: Chelsea Hite and husband Derrick of Williamsville, Robert McSwain of Poplar Bluff, Noah Crutchfield and wife Emily; great-grandchildren: Ivy McSwain, Levi Crutchfield; brothers: Kenny Brown and wife Mildred of Greenville, Phil Brown and wife Laura of Piedmont; sisters: Gay Garner of Kentucky and Gayle Garner and husband Don of Texas; many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Charlotte will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her love and kindness touched the hearts of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Friday, February 28, 2025, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 1, 2025, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Kenny Burchard ministered to the family and Derrick Hite, Shine McSwain, Ricky Crutchfield, Michael Mooneyham, James Mooneyham, Caleb Mooneyham served as pallbearers.
