Clara Lucille Clubb, 81, of Williamsville, MO, passed away at her daughter Lisa’s home surrounded by family on Friday, April 17, 2026. She was born December 4, 1944, to parents Alfred and Margie (Aldridge) Hillis at Poplar Bluff, MO. Clara was a lifelong resident of Williamsville, MO, attending grade and high school there. On October 2, 1962, she married James “Leo” Clubb Sr and they shared fifty-eight years together and were blessed with four children before his passing on November 25, 2020. Clara worked for many years for Ideal Plastics in Williamsville as a machine operator and lastly working at Cedar Hill Group Home serving as a caregiver. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Clara accepted Jesus in her younger years and had been active in the Assembly of God and Baptist churches. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, dancing and getting together with family especially around the holidays. Grandchildren were her delight. Clara loved sitting on the riverbank enjoying the outdoors fishing or just riding around or even getting a burger or an ice cream. In her younger years she enjoyed making clothes for her children and quilt tops for Christmas. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Clara’s family is left to cherish her memory: her loving son, James Clubb Jr and wife Olivia of Williamsville; her loving daughters: Connie Wheeling and husband Kim, Lisa Allen and husband Gene, all of Williamsville; Shelly Durrow and husband Andy of Greenville, MO; fifteen loving grandchildren; twenty loving great grandchildren; five loving great-great grandchildren; her loving sister and brothers, Christine Clubb, Steve Hillis, Jeff Hillis and wife Lisa, all of Williamsville; also surviving is a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends; and one special pet Sassy, her dog. Clara was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Mary and Pearl Hillis; loving mother and father; her loving husband; loving sisters: Helen Yates and Sue Anderson; loving grandson, Mark Monroe Wheeling. Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Black River Bible Baptist Church, Williamsville. Graveside services followed at 1:00 pm, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Williamsville. Rev. Darrell Davis ministered to the family. Special music was provided by Dorothy Davis and Annette. James Clubb Jr., Chris Evans, Dallas Durrow, Coby Durrow, Austin Durrow, David Davis, Travis Davis, and Andy Durrow served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
