Clarence Hill, 79, of Gideon, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gideon, MO, January 16, 1943, to parents Elbert and Virginia Alice Marie (Montgomery) Hill.
Clarence was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. GMC Motors was the only job he ever had in his lifetime. He started working for GMC when he was about eighteen years old and worked until he retired. Clarence loved the outdoors and hunting. He was a man’s man and enjoyed just having a good time and drinking a beer. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and the ladies. Clarence was a huge sports fan. His favorite teams were the Rams, Cardinals and the Blues. He grew up in south St. Louis. Clarence put everybody ahead of himself.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons: David Michael and Jeffrey Kunzi Hill; and infant brother: Tommy Dale Hill; sister: Connie Jo Pinkston.
Clarence is survived by his brother; Joe Hill of Bismarck; sisters: Opal Schuler of DeSoto, Bobbi Jo Salas of Waco, TX, Mary Baugh of Waco, TX, many nieces nephews, and friends. Clarence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation was held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel.
