Connie (Deckard) Crum

Connie Crum, 79, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO.

Connie grew up in St. Louis County and Wayne County. She met her husband Bobby through his sister and they married on August 18, 1962, sharing over sixty-two years of marriage.

Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lady small in stature but was determined to care for her family, a lady that enjoyed trying new things and was a natural entrepreneur. Many will remember her for her service to the Piedmont area working as an emt and later working for Fine labs. She was a Christian and of Baptist faith past attending Patterson Baptist Church.

Connie is survived by her loving husband Bobby; her sons: Wes Crum and wife Denies and Travis Crum and wife Rhonda, all of Piedmont; her grandchildren: Sarah Boyer and husband Kurt, Wesley Crum and wife Deanna, Joshua Crum and wife Leah, Rachel Aguilar and husband Chris, Lucas Crum and wife Cara; great grandchildren: Kaliyah, Paisley, Joseph, Sammy, Brady, Isaac, Abel, Adalynn, Matthew, Amya, Myles, and Rylan; her sisters: Charlotte Ziegler and husband Tom of St. Louis and Sharon Deckard of New Madrid.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; great grandchildren: Silas Bentley Crum and Beckett Crum; brothers: Wayne Deckard, Jerry Deckard, John Deckard; and sister, Joyce Ann Banks.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 1:00 pm until funeral service at 2:00 pm, all at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Rev. Jule Maskrod ministered to family. Travis Crum, Wes Crum, Luke Crum, Josh Crum, Little Wes Crum and Shayn Mabury served as pallbearers. Burial followed at Forest Chapel Cemetery near Piedmont, MO.
