Daniel Wade “Dan” Deason, 72, longtime resident of Wayne County, MO, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence. Dan was born March 13, 1954, at Bonne Terre, MO, son of Burton and Dorotha (Middleton) Deason.
Dan and his family moved around for Burt’s work for several years. They eventually settled in Cool Springs area during Dan’s high school time. He was a graduate of Greenville High School. Through the years Dan had worked as a pipefitter at Ameran’s Fulton nuclear power plant during construction; at Wappapello State Park; and at Lee Mechanical for several years. In 1976 Dan married Annette Wyatt and to this union two children were born. They were married until her passing in 2003. Dan found love again with Nancy Walk and they shared over twenty happy years together.
Dan was a loving husband, father, brother and companion. He lived a happy life on his own terms. Motorcycles were a central part of his life. When a motorcycle wasn’t available there was his horse Spook. Over the years Dan has made several long trips on his bike, twice to Alaska to visit his brother and to Sturgis other times. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side, hiking and arrowhead hunting, watching westerns and reading Louie Lamar books. Dan loved spending time and playing with the grandkids. He had a heart of gold and loved them all.
