Darrol G. Tibbs 65, of Silva, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1954, in Fredericktown, MO, to the late Rueben Fred and Gean (Renfrow) Tibbs. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and during his service he was awarded the National Defense Medal with the Bronze Star, Army Service ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Driver Badge, Overseas Service ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal. On October 17, 2000, he married Rebecca Croney and she survives of the home. Darrol was an over the road truck driver and when he wasn’t on the road he enjoyed working on his property and taking care of his animals. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved to hunt in Wyoming every year. He enjoyed his time with his hunting buddies and grandsons, Mason and Gage Weston and his close friend Gene Stuhr. He is preceded in death by his parents. Darrol is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, sons; Darrol Tibbs Jr, Daniel Tibbs, both of Oklahoma, Roger Croney and companion Melinda of Fairdealing, MO, Wesley Bilbrey of Poplar Bluff, MO, daughters; Dana Vasquez of Kansas City, MO, Jessica Castle and husband Josh of Marble Hill, MO, Dorothy Bilbrey of Poplar Bluff, MO, brother; Randy Tibbs and wife Selissa of Piedmont, MO, fifteen grandchildren. Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville, MO. Funeral service followed at 6:00 pm also at the Greenville Chapel.
