David Conner, 71, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born in Charlotte, NC, October 5. 1950, to parents Charles Thomas and Pearl (Farmer) Conner.
David was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married Alma Jane March 31, 1988. He was a Christian and member of Tabernacle Church of Piedmont. David enjoyed working at Sam A Baker state park in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns, going to the races and he loved fishing. David took great pride in his yard keeping flowers growing and working in his garden. He enjoyed visiting his family abroad. David was a family man, and loved family get-to-gathers and playing checkers with his grandchildren. He loved his family and took most pride in his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Tommy Conner.
David is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years; his children: Mathew Conner and wife BreAnna of Piedmont, Brandy Conner of Gastonia, NC, Theresa Branch of Granite City, IL, Leanne Conner of Crystal Lake, IL, Carma Conner of Piedmont, Jimmy Stull who he thought of as a son; grandchildren: Tamara Harrison and husband Gerald of Piedmont, Violet Preyar and husband Javien of Bowling Green, KY, David Conner, Nathaniel Conner, Josiah Conner, Haddassah Conner; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Eddie and Waylon Sloan, Laila Preyar; special and close cousin: Sissy Rayl; best friend Bill Perry who was thought of as a brother. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Jimmy Stewart ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhome@hotmail.com
