David Goodall, 61, of Patterson, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Eureka Springs, AR, June 15, 1963, to parents, Fred and JoAnn (Smith) Goodall.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. On May 12, 1984, he married the love of his life, Julia Davidson, and they were blessed with three wonderful children. David found great joy in his family, and his church family. He had a great passion for his gun collection and enjoyed spending time with the people in his community.
David worked for Windstream phone company for many years, serving as an installation and repair technician. He was known for his reliability and hard work ethic. In addition to his career, David was a faithful Christian and an active member and deacon at Victory Baptist Temple in Piedmont.
David is preceded in death by his stillborn grandchild: Sammy Lanza.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of forty years; children: Ryan Goodall and wife Claudia of Patterson, Katrina Vela and husband Vincent of Patterson, Melissa Lanza and husband Jesse of Canogo Park, CA; grandchildren: Levi and Neal Goodall, Isaac, Micah, and Ezra Lanza; father and mother-in-law: Ronald and Janet Davidson of Sparta; brothers: Wayne Goodall and wife Cheryl of Ava, Kent Goodall and wife Sherry of Yellville, AR; sister: Dana Goodall of MO; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
David’s passing leaves a profound loss in the community he served as well as the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His kind spirit, sense of humor, unwavering faith in Jesus, and dedication to his family will forever be cherished. David will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and devotion will live on through his family and friends.
Visitation was held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Victory Baptist Temple, Piedmont. Funeral service followed at 3:00 pm, also at Victory Baptist Temple. Bro. Danny McFadden opened with prayer. Jesse Lanza read the obituary. Bro. Scott Miller and Ryan Goodall gave a heartfelt eulogies. Bro. Brian Wilson ministered to the family. Danny McFadden, Matt McFadden, Mark McFadden, Aaron Miller, Andrew Miller, Asher Miller, Vincent Clubb, and Brian Raddatz served as pallbearers. A second visitation was held at 10:00 am, Monday, February 17, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church, Yellville, AR. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am, also at Victory Baptist Church in Yellville. Bro. Toby Bane ministered to the family. Music was provided by Hannah Goodall, Sarah Robertson, and Pamela Smith. Derek Goodall, Steven Goodall, Nathan Goodall, Hunter Goodall, Doug Austin, Shane Davenport, Justin and Tyler Garrison served as pallbearers. Burial followed in Cowan Cemetery, Yellville, AR.
