Debbie Lou (Daniels) Barks

Debbie L. Barks, 70, of Lowndes, MO, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was born in California on January 15, 1953. Debbie was a devoted Christian and loved by her family and many friends. She married D. R. Barks, July 1, 1990.

She was of the Baptist faith, and a long-time member of Corinth General Baptist Church. Debbie loved her dogs beyond measure. She enjoyed being outside with her Mules, and trail riding with her friends. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her church family, and the young children. Debbie always had a smile and a laugh to share with everyone she met.

In addition to her mother: Donna (Stubbs) Daniels, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Garth and Artie Daniels; and sister, Iris Wall. 

Debbie is survived by her husband of thirty-two years; stepson: Ryan Barks, of Joplin; honorary son: Josh Colbert and wife Maria of Lowndes, honorary grandchildren: Wesley, Emily, and Audrey Colbert; and her sister, Irene Zachario, of Chino, CA, brother-in-law: Kevin Barks and wife Tera of Dexter; sister-in-law: Doris McAnally and husband Larry of East Bernard, TX, and several nieces and nephews. Debbie will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the community. 

Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 30, 2023, also in the Greenville Chapel. Pastor John Rhodes and Pastor Dale Rogers ministered to the family. Josh Colbert, Travis Rogers, Glen Rodgers, Rick Billingsley, Clint McAnally, and Jared Billingsley served as pallbearers. Tim Scott, Deanna Joplin, Oren Pollock, Emily Colbert, Audrey Colbert, and Wesley Colbert served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery, Lowndes.
