Deborah “Debbie” Yount, 66, of Wappapello, MO, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, on April 12, 1954, to parents Herman and Ruth (Page) Gallamore.
Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She married James Lee Yount on March 25, 2019. She enjoyed fishing, camping, music, bowling and dining out. She loved baseball and her favorite team was the Cardinals. Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education for first through eight grades. She started teaching at Greenville elementary in August 1997 and retired May 19, 2019. Debbie taught elementary for twenty-two years and enjoyed her school children.
Debbie is survived by her husband, James; one son: Chris Yount and wife Regina of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren: Raegan and Mason Yount; brothers: Billie Gallamore of Mission, TX, Roger Gallamore and wife Margo of Rohnert Park, CA; sister: Glenda Knutson and husband Chester of South Beloit, IL. Debbie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Monday, April 12, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral was held at 2:00 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Kenny Burchard ministered to the family. Chris Yount, Dale Yount, Butch Hart, Steven Wilkerson Jr., Ranney McDonough, and Leevon Decourley served as pallbearers.
