Delilah Cravens Obituary

Delilah Gale Cravens, 88, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Braggadocio, MO, May 28, 1932, to parents Benjamin Joseph and Violet Gardilia (Waltrip) Stone.

Delilah was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Clarence Calvin Cravens on April 9, 1945, and to this union three children were born. Delilah was a cook for many years at Clearwater High School. She was crafty with her hands and enjoyed crocheting, drawing, and painting. Delilah loved to give hugs. She loved her church family and was a longtime member of Faith Family Worship Center in Piedmont. She loved her family beyond measure.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; one infant son: Michael Cravens; grandson: Robert DeClue; brothers: Ben Stone Jr., Robert Stone, and William Stone; sister: Betty Teal.

Delilah is survived by her children: Clarence Cravens Jr. and wife Theresa of Piedmont, Joseph Cravens and wife Linda of Greenville, Patsy DeClue and significant other Tim Young of Piedmont; grandchildren: Jim DeClue and wife Sandy, Ashley Greer and husband Bob, Frank Cravens, Lonnon Russell and wife Jessica, Courtney Hill and husband Jobe; grand-daughter-in-law: Lisa (DeClue) Wright; great-great-grandchildren: Rye Greer, Tristan Russell, Emma Bollinger, Remington Russell, Nova Hill; step-grandchild: Tara Adams; step-great-grandchildren: Ari Adams, Juli Adams. Delilah will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Faith Family Worship Center, Piedmont. Pastor Wayne Street ministered to the family. Jim DeClue, Joe Cravens, Clarence Cravens, Lonnon Rye, and Bob Greer served as pallbearers. Burial followed in Masonic cemetery.
