Della M. Brown, 91, of Greenville, MO, graduated to Heaven on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center. She was born on June 24, 1929, at Plumerville, AR, daughter of Lando and Dora (Greer) Maxwell.
Della was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. On June 28, 1947, she was united in marriage to Wilson Brown, Jr., and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2008. Della was a longtime member of Camp Eight General Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and attending church. She enjoyed people and never met a stranger. She loved her family with a full heart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years; son: Lloyd “Buddy” Brown; grandson: Ronald Burchard; granddaughter: Angela Magee; great-grandson: Josh Burchard; brother: L.G. Maxwell.
Della is survived by her children: Marie Campbell and companion Jack Jagdharry of St. Peters; Rickie Brown and wife Pam of Poplar Bluff; Tommy Brown and wife Margaret of Clubb; Linda Temm and husband Rick of French Village; Jimmy Brown and wife Brenda of Festus; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Barbara Maxwell of Risco; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service was held, Monday, May 24, 2021, also in the Greenville Chapel. Bro. Tommy Brown ministered to the family. Bro. Everett Meese gave a heartfelt eulogy. Matt Brown, Jeremy Brown, Brian Brown, Chris Brown, Elaina Duncan, Randy Burchard, Jonathon Gates, and Justin Hill served as pallbearers. Burial followed in Camp Eight Cemetery, Greenville, MO.
