Rev. Dennis Minks, 73, of Silva, MO, passed away November 19, 2023, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. Dennis was born in Mineral Point, MO, August 18, 1950, to parents Melvin P. and Dorothy M. (Groves) Minks.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He married the love of his life, Brenda Niblack, on January 30, 1971, and to this union three children were born. He retired from the Boy Scouts of America after thirty years of service. Dennis was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Dennis pastored several churches in the area including Oak Hill General Baptist, Henderickson, Cobalt Village General Baptist, Fredericktown, Lodi Christian Church, Second General Baptist, Malden, Rings Creek General Baptist, Patterson, and White Hollow General Baptist, Clubb. He greatly enjoyed his ministry and service to the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Matthew Minks; brothers: Jim and George Minks; sisters: Rebecca Douglas, Judy Ledford, and Connie Minks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Red and Hazel Niblack.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years; children: Tina McAtee of ND; Michael Minks and Cami of VA; grandchildren: Sydney Gouedy and husband James of Piedmont, Sarah Copas and husband Dylan of Greenville, Skylar Jacobs and husband Jordan of ND, Jacob Minks of VA, Maggie Minks of VA; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Tristan, Kaydyn, Trinity, Broly, Joshua, Athena, Nora, Harlow; sister: Sheila Mosley of Sikeston; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Dennis will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm, with cremation following service. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
