Ellen Louise May, 53, of Greenville, MO, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, MO. Ellen was born December 2, 1968, to parents Sammy Sturgill and Lou Ellen (Nix) Sturgill.
Ellen was very creative and artistic. She loved Native American Culture. She was adventurous, fun, and outgoing, she never met a stranger, she knew exactly what would put a smile on your face when you needed it the most. If you knew Ellen her children and grandchildren was her world, she was proud of each and everyone of them. She loved going to Flea Markets and seeing all the unique treasures hidden inside. Ellen was born and raised in Florida. Ellen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her two infant children; sisters: Samantha Bedell and Amanda Rhodes; brother: Jeremiah Sturgill.
Ellen is survived by her loving husband George May of twelve years; children: Dallas and his wife Jessica Miller of Piedmont, MO, Miranda and her husband Garrett Carter of Perry, FL, and Karissa Bedell of Perry, FL; grandchildren: Anabelle Carter, Ashlyn Carter, Damain Nowlin, Ayden Nowlen, Ryker Nowlin, Riley and Elijah; sisters: Tammy Lang of Whigham, GA, Sharon Sturgill of Shady Grove, FL; brother: Samuel and his wife Wendy Sturgill of Washington State, and a host of nieces and nephews.
