Ellen Inez (Walker) Romine

Ellen Inez Romine, 71, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Hunter Acres Nursing Center, Sikeston. She was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, June 14, 1950, to parents Ell and Norma Inez (Atnip) Walker.

Ellen was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She married Jerry Romine in 1970. Ellen enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was an avid believer in animal rescue and loved her dogs. Her favorite breed of dog was Chihuahuas.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Ellen is survived by her husband; brothers: Ronnie Walker and wife Carmilita of Williamsville, Steve Walker of Shook; sister: Debbie Ordway and husband Robert of Poplar Bluff; niece: Tiffany Hampton, Courtney LaRose and husband Dwayne; nephews: Eric Walker and fiancé Brandy Payne, Christopher Walker and fiancé Caterina Williams. Ellen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 16, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, also in the Greenville Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
