Ethel "Jane" (King) Poston

Ethel "Jane" Poston, 86, of Piedmont, MO, formerly of Des Arc, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont. Jane was born in Des Arc on August 11, 1936, to parents Wheeler Hadley and Lorene (Belmar) King.

She was raised in the Des Arc area and graduated from Des Arc High School class of 1954. On December 12, 1958 Jane was united in marriage to Lawrence Poston. She spent her life as a homemaker and she was of the protestant faith. Jane enjoyed solving word search puzzles in her spare time.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; three sons: Lawrence, Henry “Hank”, and Dale Poston; her brothers: Sonny King, James William “Jim Bill” King; and one great grandchild, Jeffrey Poston.

She is survived by four grandchildren: Jordan Poston and companion Felicia Johnstone, Josh Poston and wife Jessica, all of Des Arc, Joel Poston and companion Destiny Hutchinson and Nicole Poston and companion Jason Klipfel, all of Annapolis; brother, Sol King and wife Sue of St. Louis, MO; sisters:Pat Ruble and husband “Cub” of Vulcan, Janet Keller and husband Al of St. Louis, Nina Jo Morss of Burdett, KS and Edna Burke of Austin, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Visitation was held Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 12 noon until 2pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral services followed at 2:00 pm, also at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Pastor Howard Castell ministered to the family. Jordan Poston, Josh Poston, Joel Poston, Jaden Dean, Haven Willis, Bruce McAllister, Frank King served as pallbearers.
