Forrest Eads, Jr., 74, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Clark's Mountain Nursing Home in Piedmont, Missouri. Junior was born on August 25, 1948, to Forrest, Sr. and Mildred Eads in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Junior enjoyed mowing his yard, crappie fishing, and showing his classic pickup truck. He also loved spending time with his grandson. Junior retired from MoDot in 1999 after 30 years of service. He was of the Methodist faith and attended the First United Methodist Church in Williamsville, Missouri on April 14, 1967, he married Linda Eaton at Williamsville, Missouri. She survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Alesia (Mike) Darnell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, one grandson, Justin (McKenzie) Darnell of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; four sisters, Peggy York of Williamsville, Missouri, Joan (Lonnie) Thurston of Greenville, Missouri, Sharon (Doug) Eisenbies of Williamsville, Missouri, and Robin (Ronnie) Barks of Silva Missouri; one brother, Donnie (Sue) Eads of St. Charles, Illinois; and many extended family members. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Mildred Eads.
Visitation was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Williamsville, Missouri. Pastor Helen Edwards ministered to the family. Funeral service followed at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was at Miller Creek Cemetery in Williamsville. Justin Darnell, Grant Miller, Brian Smith, Jacob Barks, Caleb Barks, Darren Thurston, Michael Thurston, and James Wilson served as pallbearers.
