Frances (Bullington) Boyd

Frances Bullington Boyd, of Greenville, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 19th at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She spent the last five years of her life as a resident of The Manor nursing home in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Frances was born in Nashville, TN, on August 23, 1925 to Grady Austin and Annie Pearl (Lanier) Bullington.

Frances was a loving sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was married to Olen Boyd for forty-nine years, prior to his death in 1992. Among her many accomplishments she graduated as the class Valedictorian from Sweetwater High School, Sweetwater, Tennessee in 1942. She worked at the Chrysler Dodge main plant in Warren, Michigan and retired from Chrysler in 1975. Frances was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenville. She enjoyed cooking and baking and preparing meals for her family. She was an avid reader and animal lover and had many dogs over her lifetime. She was a big part of her niece’s and nephew’s lives.

Frances is survived by niece Kathy Langley; nephews Larry Bullington, David Bullington and Randy Bullington; great-nieces and nephews Cindy Miller, Lisa Weaver, Derek Bullington, Sarah Bullington-Kraemer, Melissa Bullington-Bunfill; Becky Bullington, Cinnamon Langley, Katlyn Kohlbrecher and Jacob Bullington.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband; brother, Austin Bullington and nephew, Tom Bullington.

A beacon of light and love Frances will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

Visitation will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel. Burial will be in Greenville City Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
