Freda Tucker Obituary

Freda Mae (Sullivan) (Bollinger) Tucker, 85, departed this life April 2, 2020 at Clark’s Mountain Skilled Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. She was born May 18, 1934, near Clubb, MO to the late William Rance and Gladys Mae (Allen) Sullivan. She was united in marriage to James L. Bollinger, Sr. on October 5, 1953. To this union three children were born: James Lafayette Bollinger, Jr., Robin Elaine Koeger, and Nancy Suzanne Bollinger. On November 26, 1977, she was united in marriage to Wiley L. Tucker. To this union she welcomed stepchildren: Scott Tucker and Florie (Tucker) Middleton. Freda was born at the end of the great depression, the eldest daughter of sixteen children. She lived most of her life in Wayne County, Missouri. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, niece and neighbor. She lived her life as she believed Jesus would have her do. She loved unconditionally, forgave quickly, loved others more than herself, and gave generously to those in need. She had a love of researching and sharing family genealogy. She enjoyed writing short stories and poems often about her family. She had many stories and pictures published in the Wayne County Journal Banner. She volunteered for the Wayne County Historical Society and served on the Photo History Book Committee. She was most proud of the family cookbook she helped compile. The cookbook included recipes contributed by family and friends from across the United States. She and her family sold the cookbooks to raise money to purchase head stones for family members that had none. Freda will be greatly missed by her family and by all who knew her. However, there is comfort in knowing that during her life on this side of glory she fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith. Freda is survived by her husband, Wiley of Piedmont; children, James (Faye) Bollinger, Jr. of Ballwin, Robin (Tom) E. Koeger of Ellsinore, and Nancy S. Bollinger of Piedmont. Stepchildren, Scott (Tasha) Tucker of Piedmont and Florie (Mike) Middleton of Vulcan. Grandchildren Cynthia (Marv) Keen, Michael Barks, Steven Barks, Bryan (Shannon) Bollinger, Eric Barks, and Jacob Ward. Great grandchildren, Isaiah England, Aidan & Chase Keen, Niyah and Pryce Barks, Nicholas & Edward Barks, Jordyn Sifuentes and Morgyn Keen. Brothers, Sam Sullivan, Jack Sullivan, Mike (Judy) Sullivan, Bill Sullivan and sisters, Ruby Brandon, Rosalie Eads, Pat Beckham, Donna Jones, Dinah (Robert) Barker, Carol Sullivan. Preceding her in death were her parents Rance and Gladys Sullivan, brothers Frank Sullivan, Eugene Sullivan, Joe Sullivan, Donald Sullivan, sister Janet Ferdinandy and stepson, Brent Tucker. Private Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 7th at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont. Pastor Gary Aubuchon will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Silva, MO.
