Glenda M. Bilbrey, 93, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Williamsville, MO, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield. She was born December 11, 1928, to parents John and Ollie (Duckett) McClure, at Williamsville, MO.
Glenda was a dedicated wife to Raymond and a loving mother and grandmother. She grew up in hard times but had a storybook childhood. She loved to read and practice piano in her spare time. She was a Christian from a young age, raised Methodist then went to Word of Faith in the late 1970’s. In later years she attended Second Baptist Church in Springfield.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband; daughter Susan D. Lawson; sister: Delores Cradic. Glenda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Glenda is survived by her son: John Bilbrey and wife Dori of Nixa; grandchildren: Heather Maahs and husband Hans, Scotland Lawson, Anna Bilbrey, and John “Max” McClure Bilbrey; great-grandchildren: Lawson Maahs, Maylen Lawson, and Reece Lawson. Glenda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Monday, June 27, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Williamsville Chapel. Bro. John Bilbrey ministered to the family. Stan Treadway, Ted Treadway, Steve McClure, Scot Lawson, Reece Lawson, and Max Bilbrey served as pallbearers. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mill Spring.
