Glenda J. Dover, 75, of Southfield, MI, formerly of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at her residence. She was born in East St. Louis, IL, March 20, 1945, to parents Otis Cleveland and Helen Mae (Blackburn) Dover.
Glenda was a nurturing and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was quiet, conservative, and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved children, and looked over many of her nieces, nephews, and younger siblings. Glenda enjoyed gospel and country music. Her favorite past time was watching Dukes of Hazzard and Shirley Temple movies.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Larry and Donald Dover.
Glenda is survived by her daughter: Linda Meyers-Ceglinski and husband James Ceglinski of Southfield, MI; grandson: Tim Meyers of Royal Oak, MI; brothers: Gayle Arnold and wife Shirley Arnold of Wappapello, Eddie Dover of St Louis; sisters: Charlene Dover of Piedmont, Louetta Crunkleton and husband Jerry of Bushnell, FL, Judy Dover of Desloge. Glenda will be missed by several cousins, nieces, nephews and her furry great grandchildren Wendy, Indiana, Alfie, Bao & Watson.
Visitation was held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 29, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 1:00 pm, also at the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Jerry Montgomery ministered to the family. Eddie Dean Dover, Tim Meyers, James Ceglinski, Kent Gideon, Roy Million, and David Davis served as pallbearers.
