Glenda Jean Singleton, 80, of Princeton, IL, formerly of Greenville, MO, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Aperion Care, Princeton, IL.
Glenda was born March 29, 1942, to parents Paul and Anna (Misiorski) Stark, at Granite City, IL. She grew up in Granite City and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Todd Uniform. She was a dedicated wife to husband Bobby and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and aunt. In later years she mostly worked as a homemaker in other people’s homes. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She had attended Crossroads General Baptist Church for many years.
Glenda is survived by her children: Timmy Bates and companion Cara of Edwardsville, IL, Jeffrey Adams and wife Kathy of Arkansas, step-children: Terry Singleton of Alpharetta Ga, and Tammy Singleton of Granite City, IL; grandchildren: Laura Bates, Lucas Bates, Andrew Adams, and Bianca Adams; brother: Alfred Stark of Granite City, IL; caretaker and special niece, Janice McGlasson.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; brothers: Lee Roy and Frank Stark; sisters: Mary Ann Hughes, Roselin “Mitzie” Turner and Catherine Greer.
Visitation was held at 11:30am, Monday, June 20, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. Funeral Service follow at 12:30 pm, in the Greenville Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Timmy Bates, Jeffrey Adams, Greg Andrews, Alex Ruegg, Roy Million and David Davis served as pallbearers.
