Glenna Mae Freeman, 86, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care, Springfield, MO. She was born October 26, 1935, in Ellington, MO, to parents Luther and Eva Estelle (Fillmore) Clements.
Glenna was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Lester Freeman on January 22, 1956, and they were blessed with three children. Glenna was a Christian, faithful partner in her husband ministry and a member of Patterson Assembly of God Church for many years. She was a seamstress who enjoyed making clothing and crafts, such as pouty babies, puppets, and crocheting. She was a great cook and loved feeding people. She worked in home health for many years, and truly cared for the people in her community.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-four years; children: Steve Freeman and one infant son; grandson: Steven Lloyd Freeman.
Glenna is survived by her children: Martha McDonald of Piedmont, Mary Marbut and husband Greg of Springfield; grandchildren: Dawn Crutchley and husband Kenny, Larissa Wandro and husband Kurt, Jennifer McDonald; Amanda Haws and husband Nathan; Kelsey Lee and husband Billy, adopted in heart granddaughter, Kerri Elrod; great-grandchildren: Adam, Blake and Noah Whyers, Keaton and Grayson Wandro, Kenzie Crossland, Isabelle Loney, Jonathan, Evelyn and Madilyn Haws.
Visitation was held at 11:30 am, Friday, June 10, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Music was provided by Kelsey Lee and Jennifer McDonald. Nathan Haws, Greg Marbut, Marvin McDonald Jr., Gary Shearrer, Wally Griggs, and Evan Griggs served as pallbearers. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
