Helen Arlene Miller, 62, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born July 5, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to Aloysius Paul and Theodora Natalie (Kern) Boehm.
Helen was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Daniel Miller, and together they raised two children, whom she cherished deeply. As a homemaker, Helen dedicated her life to nurturing her family, providing a loving home filled with warmth and care.
Helen was a devout Christian and an active member of the Des Arc Assembly of God Church, where she participated in the women’s ministry and found joy in serving others. Her faith was central to her life, and she touched many with her kindness and generosity.
Helen found true contentment in the simple joys of country living. She enjoyed raising chickens, goats, and cows, as well as tending to her garden and canning the fruits of her labor. Her cooking was well-loved by all who knew her, and she took great pleasure in sharing meals with family and friends. Above all, Helen loved helping others, always willing to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband.
Helen is survived by her children: Trenton Miller of Poplar Bluff, Brian Miller of Hinton, OK; brothers: Allen Boehm and wife Charlene of Columbus, NC, Glen Boehm and wife Andy of Winchester, IN, Daniel Boehm of Plymouth, MI; sisters: Elaine Boehm of St. Paul, MN, Beverly Cline of Spindale, NC, and Carol Weill of Hastings, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Helen’s absence leaves a profound hole in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and her deep faith. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at First Assembly of God Church, Des Arc. Funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm, also at First Assembly of God Church, cremation will follow service. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
