Irvin Bartch Jr., 69, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at Greenville Healthcare. JR was born November 7, 1956, In Poplar Bluff, MO, to parents Irvin and June (Faulkner) Bartch.
JR had many interests. A dedicated worker, he spent many years at Worley Log and Lumber in Piedmont and later served as a housekeeper at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff. Growing up on Otter Creek, he enjoyed running beagles and rabbit hunting with his brother-in-law, Tex Barnes. He found joy in simple pleasures—his family and his faith in Christ—and attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church near Piedmont. His faith meant a great deal to him, and he especially enjoyed listening to Christian audiobooks. JR shared a special bond with his children and grandchildren; they were his world. He also loved his mom’s cooking, and he rarely turned down chocolate ice cream. Mountain Dew was his favorite drink.
JR is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Whitworth and husband Tony of Piedmont, MO; his loving son, Justin Bartch of Des Arc; his loving grandchildren: Gracie Bartch, Savannah Bartch, Audrey Whitworth, Olivia Whitworth, Daisy Whitworth, Malachi Whitworth, Milo Whitworth; great granddaughter, Oaklynn Harper Simonis; his loving sisters: Earlene Barnes and Cindy Bartch both of Piedmont. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents JR was preceded in death by his sister Trellis Bartch.
