Chris grew up with a love for sports and competition, playing baseball, softball, and basketball while attending Riverview Gardens High School. He continued his education and athletic pursuits at Lewis University, a Christian Brothers school, and later earned an Associate of Arts degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from St. Louis Community College–Forest Park.
Chris proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying the discipline and dedication he learned there throughout his life. Chris married Diana Novak, and they were blessed with one daughter and two sons. Above all else, Chris cherished his role as a father, grandfather, brother and friend. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
Chris had a lifelong love of boating, owning boats from the time he was eighteen years old. He also had a deep passion for sports, Budweiser and was an avid baseball fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and football fan of Notre Dame. He enjoyed memorable trips to Baja, Mexico, and Ensenada, Mexico, and treasured the friendships and stories that came from those adventures. After returning to Missouri, he became a member of the Piedmont Eagles Club, where he continued to build lasting friendships.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Chris is survived by his children: James C. Bullock Jr., John Bullock, and Amber Bullock-Hugulet; grandchildren: James Christian Gersbach, Emily Gersbach, Adam Gersbach, Conner James Bullock, and Scarlett Bullock; brother, George Bullock Jr.; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
