Jerry Young Obituary

Gerald Lee Young, 82, of Farmington, MO, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, in St. Louis, MO.  Jerry was born June 1, 1940, to parents Claude Ray Young and Norma Lee (Bearden) Young.  

Jerry Lee was very much an outdoorsman and proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed bow fishing as well. He was a collector of many things primarily guns, coins, clocks, knives, classic cars and antique furniture. He was an avid fan of watching sports, tennis, golf and boxing. Jerry Lee loved to play table tennis, tennis, golf, fast and slow pitch softball. He was a simple man. A giver of odd knick knacks. He loved traveling on his motorcycle in his younger days. He was a Union painter. Jerry Lee proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also a man of faith, but above all, he cherished his time with friends and family.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Paul Young.

Jerry Lee is survived by his siblings: Joan Kay Boiter, Timothy Ralph Young and wife Pat, David Andrew Young and wife Jan, Floyd Eugene Young and wife Sandy, Rita Fay Roberts, Larry Dale Young and wife Donna, Raymond Lee Young and wife Brenda, and Claudine Rae Young. Jerry Lee will be forever remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, with full military honors, in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, with burial following. Bro Pete Ruble ministered the family, Tim Young, David Young, Floyd Young, Ray Young, Chris Young, and Shane Chandler served as pallbearers.
