Jimmie Middleton Obituary

Jimmie Ray “Jim” Middleton, 76, of Vulcan, MO, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Parkland Medical Center, Farmington, MO. He was born in Ironton, MO, December 27, 1946, to parents Freeman and Alpha (Anderson) Middleton.

Jim served our country in the United States Army from 1964 and was discharged in 1969. This was a tradition that his son and grandson have followed. On July 16, 1966, he married Sharon Middleton and to this union two children were born. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a heavy equipment operator spending most of his time on a dozer and also ran a road grader for the forestry. Later in life he drove a parts truck for General Motors. He was a very hard-working man and very talented and a man that took pride in everything he did. During Jim’s younger years he was known to keep son Tim up late gigging even on a school night. To daughter Kimberly, he was known as the man that could and would fix anything and everything for her except a broken heart. She was forever daddy’s little girl. Jim was a loving companion of fifty-six years to Sharon, who will forever miss him. Jim’s greatest accomplishment was his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sherman Lewis.

Jim is survived by his children: Timothy Middleton and wife Joy of Piedmont, Kimberly Howe and husband David of Knob Noster; grandchildren: Nicholas Middleton and wife Selena, Sydnee Ivy, Sam Ivy; great-grandchildren: Bash, Colby; brothers: Stanley Lewis of Geary, OK. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
