John Paul Alden

John P. “Lonnie Boker” Alden, 57, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Granite City, IL, on August 6, 1964, to parents Robert Alonzo Boker and Esther Agnes (Street) Simmons.

John was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He was a die-hard Rock N Roller. He loved listening to Ozzy Osborne, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, Metallica, and many more. John also enjoyed football, baseball and Nascar. The Patriots and the Braves were his favorite teams. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister: Rose Boker.

John is survived by his girlfriend and fiancé Sheila Reeves of nineteen years; sons: Michael McElvain of Collinsville, IL and Brandon Alden of West Virginia; sisters: Laura Peach and husband Arlis of Silva, Barbara Kamer and husband Robert of Patterson; brother, Roger Boker and wife Carol of Granite City, IL; half-sisters: Audrey Gray and husband Matt of Sesser, IL, Roxie Loucks and husband Nathan of Mulkeytown, IL; half-brothers: Matthew Boker of Las Vagas, NV, Robert Boker Jr. and wife Ashley of Sesser, IL; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. John will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services will follow at 4:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ruegg Funeral Homes, Inc. in John’s behalf to help with funeral services.
