John Franklin Lott

John F. Lott, 86, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Perry, AR, on June 27, 1934, to parents John Phillip and Hattie Belle (Hendrix) Lott.

John was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He married Wanda Rainwater August 8, 1998. He was a self-employed painter. He loved to dance in his younger days and play music. John and his boys played music together, forming their own garage band. He also loved to fish, anytime, anywhere. John was of the Pentecostal faith and was family oriented. He truly adored his kids and grandkids. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife; stepson: Warren “Sandy” Gilliam, Ronnie Gilliam, Jerry Gilliam; great-grandson: Little John Gilliam; brothers: James Plunkett, Robert Bean, William “Slick” Bean; sisters: Ruby Tarkington, Addie Plunkett, Martha Bean, Myrtle Bean.

John is survived by his loving children: daughter: Susan Prewitt and husband Jeffrey of Piedmont; stepson: Jerry Leon Willard and significant other, Linda of Piedmont; grandchildren: Keith Geer, Danny Geer, Chakina Carter, Andy Willard; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Rick Bergen ministered to the family. Keith Geer, Danny Geer, Charles Carter, Jim Bumpus, Eddie Holloway, and Revous Berry served as pallbearers. Mason Akers served as honorary pallbearer. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Williamsville, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
