Joy Lynne Clifford, 68, of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her daughter’s residence in Hillsboro. She was born December 29, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to her loving parents Clifton and Ethel Joyce (Profitte) Clifford.
In Joy's early years she grew up in Wayne County, she attended Greenville High School and later went on to complete her GED and continue her education at college. While Joy had many accomplishments throughout her life her favorite was having a farm where she loved working cattle and later going on to fulfill her purpose of rescuing and rehabbing birds.
Joy was diagnosed with Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer last year. Even with treatment the cancer continued to spread throughout her body. Joy always kept positive keeping her faith in God and leaned on her doctors, nurses, friends and family to help lead her through. Joy was an inspiration to all she met showing her resilience and sharing her strong will towards God to all.
Joy is survived by her daughter: Farrah Tibbs and fiancé Tim Johnson of Hillsboro: brothers: Clifton Clifford of Fredericktown, Jerry Clifford and wife Racheal of Greenville; one sister: Glenda Chilton of Piedmont; brother-n-law: Bill Sexton of TN; four grandchildren: Austin Helm and wife Daniele, Emily Brawley and husband Caleb, Emma Tibbs-Cravens, and Louis Campisi; two great-great grandchildren: Lilly and Ivan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Sexton.
Visitation was held at 12:00 pm, Monday, June 17, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville Chapel. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Greenville Chapel. Pastor Danny Bowman ministered to the family. Austin Helm, Louis Campisi, Tim Johnson, Clifton Clifford, Jerry Clifford, and Tim Paul Davenport served as pallbearers.
