June Reese Obituary

June Virginia Reese, 101, of Piedmont, MO, passed away November 7, 2020, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Home. She was born in Bunker, MO, December 7, 1918, to parents Joseph C. and Myrtle J. (Baker) Barnes.

June was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She married Earl Edgar Reese on June 1, 1935, and they were blessed with three children. She was a home maker for many years. June was very family oriented and was always there for her family.  She loved to cook for the holidays, traveling to visit with her family, sewing her own cloths, canning, garden, and she loved her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her loving husband of sixty-three years; children: Ronald Reese, Earlene Tullmann; grandchildren: Danny Tullman and Shelly Gardner; brothers: Ray Barnes, Dean Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, Cloydd Barnes; sisters: Hazel Turner, and Bessy McIver.

June is survived by her son, Jerry Reese of Piedmont; grandchildren: Gretchen Reese, Michael Zahn, Kelly Lang, Rhonda Sherman, and Davonna Glass; sixteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Yount Memorial Cemetery, near Garwood, MO. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Jerry Reese, Paige Portell, Kevin Glass, Larry Griffith, Glen Zahn, Doug Rhea served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
