Karen Irene Moore, 65, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her residence. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 9, 1957, to parents Bobby and Marion “Kathy” (Hampton) Welker.
Karen was a patient and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a Christian of Non-Denominational faith and later became an Ordained Minister through Universal Life Church. Karen was raised in Arnold, MO and graduated from Fox High School. She was a Human Resource Manager at Windsor Foods and then began working with her husband in their business, Moore Pilot Car.
She is preceded in death by her father.
In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her loving husband of nineteen years, James Moore of Piedmont, MO; children: Joseph Cox, Melissa O’Brien both of Piedmont, MO, Donna Smith and husband Austin of West Plains, MO; brother: Robert Welker of Fenton, MO; grandchildren: Kaine O’Brien, Paris O’Brien, Jayden Raddatz, Felicity Cox, Aurora Cox, Damien Cox, Kyra Lewellen, Hannah Smith, and Katelyn Smith. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 5, 2023, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Austin Smith, Kaine O'Brien, Jimmy Andrews, Joe Cox, Damien Dodson, and Damien Cox served as pallbearers. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery in Reynolds County. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Karen's memory to Ruegg Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
