Katherine Gatewood

Katherine Gatewood, 82, formerly of Piedmont, Mo., died Jan. 10, 2020 in Duck River, Tenn.  She was born April 7, 1937 in rural Piedmont, MO, to the late Nathan Landing and Alma (Meadors) Landing. On August 25, 1959, Katherine married the late Earl Gatewood and they were married for 56 years.   Katherine was a homemaker and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and all types of flowers.  Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers; Paul Landing, Ronnie Landing, Bill Landing, Carl Landing. She is survived by daughters: Maria Morgan and husband Clay of Duck River TN, Michelle Henderson of Piedmont, MO, brothers: David Landing and wife Karen of St Louis, MO, Larry Landing of Piedmont, MO, sisters: Vicky Giovando of Piedmont, MO, Mary Montgomery and husband Danny of Piedmont, MO, Carolyn Seacord and husband Bill of Columbia, IL, Marilyn Trowbridge and husband Larry of Annapolis, MO,Sinnie Wilson and husband Larry of Granite City, IL, grandchildren: Donald Henderson, Erica Townsend, Shaun Tucker, Alisha Tucker, Ashlie Morgan and Shane Morgan. Katherine will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Visitation was noon Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel, the funeral followed at 2 p.m. in the Piedmont Chapel.  Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Pallbearers were Donald Henderson, Shane Morgan, Shaun Tucker, David Landing, Brian Landing and Clay Morgan. Interment was in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
